Amanda Brundrett

BSc Hons (Psychol), DHP, MAPHP (Acc)

I started out studying Psychology at Bristol University and went on to work in senior positions in advertising and marketing agencies.

I became interested in hypnotherapy whilst researching complementary therapies for a close friend going through cancer treatment. I was  fascinated by what hypnotherapy could achieve and it re-ignited my fascination with the power of the mind. I decided that this was where my passion lay and decided to train as a hypnotherapist in 2007

Over the years, I have gained qualifications in Hypnotherapy, Hypnoanalysis, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Emotional Freedom Technique, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprogramming and Counselling Skills from The Royal Berkshire College of Clinical Hypnosis (www.rbcch.com) where I now also train others to become hypnotherapists. After nearly 15 years of experience as a therapist I know and respect that every client is unique, not just in terms of their symptoms but in a much wider sense of their whole life experiences.  This means I will assess each client’s individual needs and may offer any of the above therapies on their own or as part of a multi therapy approach. Your issues will be dealt with in a caring way and in strict confidence, so that you can feel safe and at ease at all times.

I am a member of The Association of Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (www.aphp.net) and The Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (www.cnhc.org.uk) which was set up by the government to protect the public . I am bound by a strict code of conduct, ethics and performance which includes the requirement for continuing professional development to maintain an up to date knowledge of current and new therapies.
